How to Write the Perfect CFP (With or Without AI)

So, you’ve crafted a brilliant idea for a tech talk, perhaps even built the presentation around it. Yet, despite your efforts, you keep receiving that discouraging ‘NO’ from conference organizers year after year. Could it be that you’re approaching it incorrectly?

Many developers invest significant effort into perfecting their presentations but overlook the crucial role of their CFP as the gateway to actually getting their foot in. Writing an appealing CFP requires communication skills and the ability to market both yourself and your talk effectively; something that may not come naturally to software developers, especially the introverts. On the other hand, you can’t make it too commercial because you have to provide actual value to the audience and not just sell yourself or your product too bluntly.

Throughout the years, and after reviewing and editing hundreds of CFP submissions, I found the perfect formula for writing compelling CFPs that helped dozens of people get accepted to major tech conferences worldwide (even before ChatGPT was introduced). In this workshop, you’ll have the opportunity to craft your own CFP and receive professional feedback from both myself and your peers. Furthermore, you will learn how to leverage the power of AI to help you do that, but you have to do it carefully, otherwise, they will KNOW you used it (can you tell if I used it in this abstract? 😉 ).
Recommendation – Come prepared with an initial idea for your proposed talk.
