Respecting the Social Battery in DevRel

DevRel is a unique software industry segment as it involves regular social interaction with developer communities at meetups and conferences. Just like the developers we connect with, those working in DevRel can sit anywhere on the introvert/ extrovert scale. As an extrovert with introverted tendencies, Carly often found some of these events to be as draining as they are engaging.

In this talk, Carly will discuss:
1. The factors that impact our social battery generally and those specific to DevRel and tech.
2. Tips on managing your social battery, learned from my wonderful colleagues, and tips you can use to manage your social battery and well-being.
3. Guidance on supporting the different levels of introversion and extroversion within the developer community within our events using tools such as the PacMan model, and how we can make a comfortable space for all.
